Inca Empire

The Inca Empire, known in Quechua as Tawantinsuyu referring to "The Four Regions", is considered to have been the largest empire in pre-Columbian times. From the 13th century, to its total destruction by the Spanish conquest in 1572, it developed a power centered on the Andean Mountains and its capital, Cusco.
